Khawaja Sha, son of Khawaja Shajeeullah and Farees Shajee, was born in San Francisco, California in 1990. The family moved to Northern Virginia in 1999. He has an older sister, Nida (married to Asif) and a younger brother Khawaja (aka Ibad) Shah (married to Fariba). Khawaja attended Harvard University for his undergraduate Bachelor's degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics.
Khawaja is passionate about cooking and is an award winning chef. His iconic dishes are Beef Wellington and Braised Short Ribs. Khawaja is a huge football fan (Go Commanders!) and soccer (futbol) enthusiast who supports Real Madrid. Often described as "bougie", he certainly does have an affinity for the finer things in life. He currently resides in Dallas, TX.
Caiti Tisdale, daughter of Andy Tisdale and Kathy Montgomery, was born and raised in Fort Worth, TX. She is the only daughter with four brothers (Andrew, Caleb, James, and Matthew), meaning she learned very early how to hold her own.
A true Texan, boots and all, Caiti loves good food, cooking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. She is happiest keeping things low-key, surrounded by the people she loves. As the more spontaneous half of the couple, Caiti brings plenty of personality and a little bit of chaos.
Although she is soon to marry a Harvard-educated computer scientist and mathematician, Caiti remains confident that she is right approximately 98% of the time.
Khawaja and Caiti's story began in April of 2021 when they were both selected for a restaurant traveling training team and met for the first time in Alpharetta, GA. Their first interaction was quite an unforgettable one and clearly left an impression in both their lives.
Through their work travels over the years, they became good friends and learned about one another; their backgrounds, their upbringing, their dreams and aspirations. That friendship blossomed into a beautiful relationship.
Khawaja bravely and impressively proposed to the young and lovely Caiti at sunset on July 29, 2026 in the Cayman Islands just before a private cabana dinner for the two beachside on Seven Mile Beach at the Grand Old House in Grand Cayman.
